Centex & Pulte Best Builders

Wednesday, September 27th, 2006

Have you ever wondered about the difference between builders? Check out J.D. Power and Associates The results of their annual survey came out last week. Look how consumers in the Inland Empire rated 27 different builders.

Centex Homes and Pulte Homes were at the top of the list in the following categories: quality of workmanship and materials, price and value, and home design.

Remember–even if you want to buy a new home, you can benefit from a realtor’s help. I just helped a client buy a home from D.R. Horton. I was involved with negotiations, signing of contracts, and getting escrow closed. If you want a realtor’s help with new home buying, remember to visit the model homes with your realtor the very first time to sign-in. That way your realtor can get involved and, depending on the builder, be your advocate when necessary.

Guidebook to Fun

Thursday, September 7th, 2006

Today’s Press-Enterprise has an article about a new book by local resident, Wayne Kelly. It’s titled: “Family and Friends Fun Guide to Southwest Riverside County”.

It sounds great for new residents and old-timers who seek info on fun activities, such as golf, fishing, casinos, paintball parks, gourd farm, wine country, etc.

It covers the area from south Corona to Hemet-San Jacinto to Murrieta-Temecula. According to the article, you can find the book at L & L Bookstore in Temecula, Old Town Temecula Museum (a really fun place of its own!) and soon at the local Borders and Barnes & Noble.
